How to make a poached egg ?

You have eggs in the fridge but you're pretty tired of fried eggs? Try to make a poached egg, it will change your habits,  it's good, easy and quick to make.

To achieve a delicious poached egg, you can follow this method:

1. Boil water in a saucepan

Then add the salt and vinegar. Once the water is boiling, reduce heat to simmer it gently.

2. Break an egg into a small cup or a bowl.

Take a large egg, preferably fresh. The result will be better.

3. Make "whirlwind " of water in the pan.

A sort of cyclone will create in the water. This step will serve to wrap the white around the yolk.

4. Gently pour the egg in the center of the pan.

If you go too fast, the white sill not surround  the yolk and that will be missed ! Get the closest you can of water in order that entry into the water is as delicate as possible. Be careful not to burn yourself!

5. Let the egg cook 2 to 3 minutes maximum

Do not cook too long, otherwise the yolk will be hard.

6. Remove the egg from the pan with a skimmer.

The output stage is difficult because the poached egg may break, the ideal is to use a skimmer. If you do not have one, use a large spoon. Drain well the egg.

7. Put your poached egg on a plate.

Here you go! You can enjoy your poached egg on a toast, it's delicious.
