You must keep all your life:

  • The family record book
  • The military record
  • Civilian and military pensions
  • Medical records
  • Certificates and vaccination record
  • The blood group card
  • The health record
  • The cohabitation certificate
  • The marriage contract
  • The divorce judgment
  • The adoption judgment
  • Deeds of donation
  • The will
  • Insurance contracts covering liability: automobile, professional, head of household

You will also keep for 50 years:

  • Pension and alimony arrears

As well as for 5 years:

  • Proof of payment of Social Security contributions , family allowances and documents from employement office.

It is better to keep for 2 years:

  • Social Security accounts
  • Family allowance payment slips
  • Proof of payment of medical fees
  • Ordinances
