To find out if an egg is still safe to eat after the expiration date has expired or you don't know the expiry date, there is a very simple technique.
Just immerse your egg in any container filled with water . If your egg stays at the bottom , it is because it is not rotten and therefore still relatively fresh. You can eat it with no problem.
On the other hand, if the egg rises to the surface , it means that it is no longer suitable for consumption and that it is better to throw it away.
Indeed, if it rises to the surface, it means that air has entered the shell and that it has therefore oxidized.
Do this experiment only on the eggs that you plan to consume quickly, because, the shell being permeable to air, it is also permeable to water.
