Light is vital for this plant. Choose to position it near a window, taking care to avoid the sun beating directly on it. In summer, use a curtain to filter the sun. On the other hand in winter, let the sun go directly on it to prevent the buds from falling or drying out.
For watering, use water low in limestone (rainwater or mineral water but not tap water). The best is to immerse the bottom of your pot in a water bath for about twenty minutes (2 to 3 times a week in spring and summer). Do not hesitate to spray water on your orchid once a day. In winter, watering every 15 days will suffice. You can add special orchid fertilizer every two weeks between May and September.
You should repot your orchids about every two years, as soon as the pot gets too small. Prefer to repot in May. Be careful not to cut the roots and use a new substrate in the new pot.
